FLORENCE, ITALY WEDDING

This is part 1 of 2 with a destination wedding in Florence, Italy then a reception in San Diego to follow. Truth be told, this was not the original plan! We were in the thick of venue tours but they both couldn’t come to an agreement on where. They knew something was missing. So, I got the call that they were completely changing their plans and we were going to Florence instead!

Alyssa wanted an classically elegant style for their Italy wedding in black, white and gold. With the hotel so rich in style and ornate interiors, simple sophistication was the perfect balance. The ceremony was in Sfingi Garden, dinner in the Mirror Room and the after-party was downstairs in Il Pasha which had a fun and energetic club vibe. The cake was cut at the after party, so this was a departure from what we typically see here in the U.S. My favorite detail of the wedding was the custom illustrated envelope liner of the hotel that Whimsique designed for the invitation suite.
